As the world watches with bated breath, the Commander-in-Chief of the United States has decided to impose a 25% tariff on Canada, Mexico and 10% tariff on China. Upon hearing his decision and witnessing a snippet of him signing the Executive Order, I felt deeply anxious due to the unknown repercussions. However, soon after, I was restored to a renewed hope and faith in my country and God. Let’s pray!
PRAYER
Father God, thank you again for another day to live with your grace and in your mercy. My country needs you more now than ever before. Our current leader needs you now more than he probably has ever needed you before. Surround Him with people you can trust. Search his total being and help him search his heart and his thoughts before making decisions for America. I ask that You instill renewed hope in those who love America and those who, despite their grievances, call America their home. Amen.
For different reasons people will indirectly/directly involve you in their insanity. And! As long as you’re sitting on the sidelines you can opt to get off the rollercoaster of madness. Hopefully before it’s too late. Because when you start playing their game! With their rules! And! With their agenda you lose everything that makes life a wonderful journey, self-worth. Let’s Pray!

Father God, thank you for another day. Trouble surrounds me. Keep my soul at peace during the storm and my eyes on Christ. Pepper my words with your strength and your love when I speak. Give my heart a song to sing and let my feet dance and rejoice in your goodness. Amen

Today as I was surfing the web for international inspiration I stumbled across the blog of Fahrenheit Creative Group. The admin of this wonderful blog gives people motivational and inspirational quotes and messages to live by. After stumbling upon this wonderful blog site I almost forgot what I was looking for.
Oh. Yeah. I was searching for something that could be passed on to the American nation in a time of uncertainty.
I guess after listening to the opinions of those in my circle about America’s current insufficient funds status I have found their comments mind-boggling. I really want to respond with “do you really believe that crap your voicing!” And my response would not be in question form. I would hope my statement would awaken their intellect in using commonsense [which is no longer common].
It seems everybody is running on scarcity.
Personally, I think the American people, that are generations rooted by birth, are tired of feeling left out. Especially when it comes to the freebies given to those that are illegally living in our country and profiting from the American overtaxed entitlement programs.
It seems that everyone has lost sight of what made America great. The economical dismay of our economy has brought forth spirits of defeat and disdain. Especially for those we find different from our personal and professional communities. The havoc that is being wreaked on lives as dreams are no longer a vision of hope makes me ask: What ever happened to the all American dream?

The American dream died when the government made it easy for a person to be given a fish when hungry. And the quest for self-worth plummeted when the public demanded more entitlement programs from their local and state government officials. And, sadly, these programs were implemented. As I see things, these handouts removed the instinct for self-preservation. And hinders people to remember and believe in a quote from our founding fathers’:
That all men are by nature equally free and independent and have certain inherent rights, of which, when they enter into a state of society, they cannot, by any compact, deprive or divest their posterity; namely, the enjoyment of life and liberty, with the means of acquiring and possessing property, and pursuing and obtaining happiness and safety.
A week ago I was in a conversation with a friend. Immediately, I found myself praying silently. His words were upsetting. His confidence was frightening. And most noteworthy was his self-proclaim spiritual position as an ambassador for Christ. Scary! His words were without a doubt bloodcurdling.
If he had not came across as an insufferable know-it-all I could have drummed up some sympathy and informed him that his words were discouraging to his listeners, as they stopped him from making a difference. With retrospect I must write, arrogant know-it-alls most often do more mental damage than the person that is doing the abusing. There are effective ways to counsel a person in crisis and using tough love must be implemented at the correct time, or else nothing said or being done will help hurting people move forward with living their lives.
My friend was conversing with me loudly. He spoke fast. And with the combination of speaking loud and speaking fast he held the floor. There was no room to exit the conversation, therefore, I found myself being victimized by his bitter words that held no comfort. Again!
To my dismay I am realizing that my friend set me up. He knows my present dilemmas. He knew I could easily discuss them. Therefore, he asked conversation starter type questions that would lure me in and prompt me to begin discussing my personal life. Honestly, he was looking for a conversation that made him feel good about himself. As why the first question out of his deceitful mouth was “Are you at a drive thru?” When I answered with a hearty “No” then he proceeded with “What’s going on?” After I began to tell him of my husband’s legal problems he became immediately argumentative.
He said things to this effect: What good is your husband to you? Why don’t you just get rid of him? I thought you were going to get rid of him? You sound like my momma. She is forever complaining about daddy. We the kids have told her to leave him. I finally told her stop complaining about daddy. I told her I was sick of hearing it.
Wow! Right! After hearing the bitter words he and his siblings have said and are saying to their aged mom, I didn’t feel sad for me any longer. I came to his mother’s defense with stating “It is not that easy to leave a person when your lives are webbed together.” He said, “Yes it is!”
Really! Personally, I feel a marriage should never be easy to end unless a person’s life or mental wellbeing is being threatened.
I feel people with nomadic character traits can easily leave their spouses quickly without just cause. But a person that has been married for over 50 plus years just can’t jump up and leave a perceivably abusive spouse. It is not that easy! So today I would like to pray for couples that are having marital problems and have been married for more years than they can remember.
Lord in your Holy word you say in Genesis 2:18b, “It is not good that the man should be alone:”
Lord there is numerous things that can be considered as marital problems; therefore, today, I would like to pray for those that are unhappily married. Can you please spend your vacation with these couples for as long as they need you to stay? Can you please take your Spirit of Comfort to bandage wounds sustained by marital conflict. Can you collect their many tears and dry their eyes with promises of a brighter tomorrow. Can you fill their hearts with love, unconditional love for the spouse they find unlovable. Can you give those they consort with a spirit of understanding? Can you give each spouse your spirit of truth on love, marriage, commitment, and divorce? Can you give them joy where there is sorrow? And most of all Lord, can you give them peace that surpasses all mankind’s understanding where there is conflict? So all that loves them will not be affected by their marital woes.
Lord your word in John 6:12 say’s, “Gather the pieces that are leftover. Let nothing be wasted.” Please allow these couples to gather up their fragmented marital lives and bring the broken pieces to you so nothing from their marriage will be wasted.
It is me again. I come boldly with a humble spirit before you. I’m asking for your help to pray for those that are in need of prayer. Lord it has been a long time since I have prayed in a public setting. So, once again, I’m asking for help in praying for the needs of others.
Lord, I ask for peace to penetrate the hearts of humanity. I ask for love to transcend the walls of racial issues, marital issues, relationship issues, sibling issues, self-hatred issues, low self-esteem issues and etc. I’m asking for the Holy Trinity to aid all leaders from different nation’s in serving the needs of their people and the needs of the world.
But, Lord, I come to you with a special request on the behalf of American Black girls.
Someone once told me Lord that you love when your children repeat your Holy Words back to you during petitioning you for favor. Well . . . Lord here I am. I am reminding you of your promises. Your word says, “I will give you back what you lost to the swarming locusts, the hopping locusts, the stripping locusts, and the cutting locusts. It was I who sent this great destroying army against you (Joel 2:25).”
Lord, my life is almost over. I am 51 and will soon turn 52; and, if you are kind I might successfully live another 30 to 40 years. I realize I can do a lot within 30 to 40 years but my heart laments over the wasted years of my youth.
Lord, because I feel my caregivers dropped the ball when it came to guiding me successfully in my youth I am praying for Black American girls this morning.
Lord, I am asking that you give them each a protective angel; an angel that will sweetly speak words of affirmation and encouragement in their ears to help them throughout life. I’m praying they understands they have a purpose in life. I’m praying each understands without question that they are not personal dumping ground for other’s. I am praying that you convey to them early the plans you have for them and their lives. Jeremiah 29:11 states, “For I know the plans I have for you,” says the LORD. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.” Awe the words ‘future’ and ‘hope.’
Lord it is standard pattern and practice for other’s to feel their purpose is to rob American Black girls of their futures and hope. Therefore, Lord, I’m praying American Black girls will understand self-respect, self-love, and self-affirmation. For in doing so they will know their futures will be brighter with the knowledge of knowing they have hope.
Also, Lord, I am asking for you to set in motion a plan to restore order to American Black girls inherit fragile souls and give them your prosperity promises. Lord, I’m praying that each American Black girl is given the mindset to accept your gifts and learn to appreciate them.
So often others will make American Black girls feel guilty for having when they have not. But, Lord, I release your protective spirit in the lives of Black American girls that they will have life according to your riches and glory in Heaven and on Earth, and in doing so they will not allow others to steal their blessings. I’m praying Lord that you will allow American Black girls to see themselves as you see them: Psalm 139:14 states, “I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.”
Well, I know I didn’t know about such a rule. To be honest, until lately, I felt I was too busy to worry about public safety, especially since I don’t gather among the masses. I’m sure I’m not alone! However, my concern is how many Black people know of this rule? Probably not many! Laughter!
Personally, I feel Black people know little about the laws of their state, country, local and national government. Most often Black people legal knowledge is acquired after the fact. Sadly the information comes too late to help them keep their rights as citizens and freedoms paid for by the blood of others. Once they returned to the mainstream of society after incarceration they cannot apply for benefits that aid in personal advancements; and out of frustration they return to a life of crime.
Black women we must do something about keeping our men and women from lives of petty and grand crimes!
Do you realize many Black inmates could have been successful people? These people could be individuals that give to society instead of taking from society if they were taught the laws of this country. Yet, they are serving time because of ignorance. Do not buy a wooden nickel my Black brothers and sisters! Ignorance is foolish and can destroy a life before a person discovers what living is truly about. This is why I’m posting information on current legal topics.
Staying updated with current events help a person to grow mentally. Such updates help people become socially aware of what is taking place in the town or city, state and country they live in.
To be honest, I didn’t know about Miranda rights and how Miranda’s rights came into play, until the Boston Marathon bombing. It was that tragedy that sparked my quest to learn about Miranda rights and the “public safety exception.”
I can’t speak for Black people as a whole, however, I can say from glancing over statistics Black people have a ways to go when learning about the laws of this country and their Constitutional rights.
I’m sure this topic is boring to most but to a person that is interested in protecting their freedom it is knowledge. And don’t ever forget knowledge is POWER.
It is important that people learn of the ‘public safety exception.’ It appears our lawmakers are making continual changes to this rule. The changes that are being made have nothing to do with Homeland Security and or terrorist threats. Other words, the changes could become a ticking bomb to American society and those that find themselves breaking the laws of our nation, thus, forcing those that enforce the laws to waver in their decision if a crime has a political motive. And in turn they must know what the motive is before they can invoke the rule; because of the procedure this rule can be applied to gang members and etc. Once this rule is applied and a weapon or harmful materials are found the information gathered can be used in the court of law. But the ‘public safety exception’ rule can only be applied if law-enforcement feels the suspect has information on the whereabouts of an item or items that can be harmful to the public. After public safety has been secured then the suspect will be given Miranda’s warnings/rights.
It was hard for me to pare down the legal jargon about this particular rule because it is ever-changing. And those changes will impact our knuckle-headed, don’t want to listen to the voice of reason, young Black men and women that are not ready to enter into society as productive citizens. So as Black women let us do our part to make sure the numbers of Black men and women incarcerated decreases as we teach them the laws that govern this country.
