I’ve shied away from having long prayers for many reasons when sharing them publicly. But today is special because of a conversation I had with a phenomenal person/woman. She and I have been friends for over thirty years.  I thought I knew all there was to know about her.  Then she shared with me that she liked parts of her job but was marginal at the parts that made her uncomfortable. Out of curiosity I asked what made her uncomfortable.  She said, “having  to meet with the customers face to face.”  My jaws dropped!  How could that be!  She being a minister’s wife caught me off guard with her statement of truth. She’s always speaking to people face to face.  So, is it her truth or just someone else’s perception embedded in her character?  

PRAYER

Father, thank you for another day to do things better than the day before. Today I ask that you give people who struggle with speaking up for themselves their voice. Show them how wonderfully made they are. Teaching them that sometimes truth is an illusion that changes with self acceptance and self knowledge.  Amen

PRAYER

Father God, thank you again for another day to live an abundant life. Lord, give strength to those that are oppressed by the feelings of loneliness. Free them to a mindset of living an abundant life. Show them how to meet others that are good and kind. Awaken their spirits to recognize deceitful people and strengthen them to call upon you to avoid snares of manipulative individuals. Amen

Father God, thank you for this day.  Guide us as we do day to day business.  Granting us the ability not to fall prey to the self promoting schemes of others.  Amen

It is better to dwell in the wilderness, than with a contentious and an angry woman.

PRAYER

Lord, I pray for every relationship to flourish within healthy boundaries. And should a person find themselves in a toxic environment, I ask that you uncover the root of the discord and show each individual the roles they play concerning the situation. Amen

“Also, seek the peace and prosperity of the city to which I have carried you into exile. Pray to the LORD for it, because if it prospers, you too will prosper.”

PRAYER

Heavenly Father, please comfort the hearts of those that feel like they are in exile, assuring them they aren’t alone because of your presence. Helping them always to flourish wherever home is. Amen

“I pray that out of His glorious riches He may strengthen you with power through His Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love.”

PRAYER

Father God, Paul prayed that you strengthen the Ephesians with power through the Holy Spirit to reach their innermost being, so that Christ would dwell in their hearts through faith. I ask the same for the world in which we now know. It’s clear to see we need to hear from you as faith in God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit fades.  As a result, hopelessness is on the rise. I pray your spirit quickens souls to believe in the true and living God. We need you, Lord. Amen

1st Corinthians 15:13 states:  Do not be misled: “Bad company corrupts good character.”

Prayer

Heavenly Father, thank you for this day.  Your word says “Do not be misled: ‘Bad company corrupts good character.”  Please help those that continue hanging out with people that aren’t good for them.  Put your loving arms around them.  Whisper in their ears that you love them and you want better for them.  Open their eyes so they can see the true character of their so called friend(s).  Give them your courage to leave and never look back.  Amen

Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name, your kingdom come, your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.  Give us today our daily bread.  Forgive us our debts as we also have forgiven our debtors.  And lead us not into temptation but deliver us from the evil one.  Matthew 6:9 – 13

Heavenly Father thank you for this day we have never seen before.  Father God it’s Wednesday!

Lord today I want to pray for medical doctors everywhere.  Lord, I’m asking that you be with them today and everyday.  They are the heart of society.  I’m asking that you give them wisdom to act upon on their patients needs.  Amen

Place A Protective Covering of Us

Lord, thank you for your grace and your mercy.  Father, God, the world is still suffering from COVID-19.  And, sadly, most Americans feel they are immune to the virus despite CDC’s warnings and government suggestions.

If we, Americans, don’t join together and set healthier boundaries beyond what officials have suggested it will change the face of America and the world forever.  And it grieves me to learn that Black communities are being hit the hardest.

I don’t know why so many Black people won’t follow the rules.  Including one of my own children.  Or could it be that hospital’s are sending infected black people home, and, as a result, they are infecting others.  And!  It infuriates me to know my son lied to me to gain shelter.  And, I allowed him back into the house after being places only you know of.

Please protect me and Michael from Kaleph’s foolishness.  Michael and I are following the rules.  We’re staying home.  We’re practicing social distance.  We’re concern about ourselves as well as others.

Lord, Black people are at the bottom of the list when it comes to receiving quality healthcare and barely on that list as being part of the human race.  We deserve services to sustain life and lives.  Yet, it always seem we’re last to receive fair treatment despite our stations in a world you created.

Lord, quicken the spirits of my people.  Deliver those that suffer from delusional minds.  Guide us!  We need your help.  Reports are showing we’re dying at records numbers.  Show us how to protect ourselves, our loved ones, our friends and our family during these perilous times.  Let there truly become unity in the black communities.  Not because we are better or want more than other races but because we’re dying at record numbers.  Amen

Lord Help Until You Can Help

Heavenly Father, the world is in a pandemic crises.  We have a virus that is killing people in days and or weeks by the hundreds.  It’s called COVID-19.  It’s new to the world but not to you.  You know all and see all.  And, you know where this virus was created and what it was created with.  Lord, help until you can help.  Amen
