Day One – Removing Clutter

Tuesday, September 12, 2023

He lifted me out of the slimy pit, out of the mud and mire; he set my feet on a rock and gave me a firm place to stand.

I’d been standing in the same section of stuff trying to make unwanted unsure decisions because I know clutter is a sign of indecisiveness. And procrastination only keeps people in the dark holes of life. So! To make a small difference in my life I grabbed four boxes of men’s shoes that went unsold. I placed them on an empty bin and stood there paralyzed. It was clear I wasn’t ready to make a chain of choices since how to get rid of the shoes made me perplexed.  However, the one thing I understood and understand is that change is needed if I want to get back in the game of life. Therefore, I need to be equally kind to myself as I have and always am with others. So I give myself permission on this decluttering journey to take 15 minutes for private meltdowns. In doing so, making small life changing choices when it comes to clearing physical clutter may come a bit easier. Mainly, because I’ve given myself a face and told my soul I matter too.  And should you find yourself in the same boat as me, I give you permission to be kind to yourself for charity truly starts at home.  Blessing to you and yours from me and mine.  Let’s pray!

PRAYER

Father God, lift our souls from the depths of despair.  Amen

Finding Your Way – Evil Intentions

They hatch the eggs of vipers and spin a spider’s web. Whoever eats their eggs will die, and when one is broken, an adder is hatched.

Isaiah 59:5

Yesterday my son called to tell me about his son’s unfortunate situation. It was identical to what he had experienced with his son’s mother. Apparently my grandson went to visit his toddler twin girls. When he got to their home he’d learned their mother had taken them elsewhere, thus, ensuring he would not get to visit with them. My grandson became upset and called his dad about his heart wrenching reality. My son told him not to do anything foolish over the matter and explained what had happened to him and what I’d told him about dating.

What I told my son when he was a young man: “if you want to know how a girl will act, meet her mom. Chances are she’s going to either be a carbon copy or polar opposite but more likely a carbon copy.” However that analogy can also be applied to social groups! If you want to know how a person thinks, observe the circle in which they travel. And! Even then you gotta be careful because you will always find chameleons in any social structure.

My grandson is very young and has little to no life experience; therefore, he’s paying a heavy price for his youthful follies. I pray he makes it to manhood without too much emotional baggage.  Because, sadly, he’s not getting it when it comes to cultivating healthy relationships.  His drive to score sexual encounters prohibits him from learning everyone has desires and or agendas. Let’s pray!

PRAYER
Father God, thank you for this day not promised. Heal the brokenness of people that have cultivated evil in their hearts. Speak peace and blessings to their life. Amen

October 24

if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.

2 Chronicles 7:14 NIV

Good morning from Denver, Colorado! It’s 5:13 in the morning. The Sun has yet to bless us with morning light in this part of the US. But! The light of day is coming!

I woke with the world on my mind and all that follows me. I thought about my public prayer as well as my private request to an unseen God. Among my thoughts is the question why do I follow a God the naked eye can’t see. The thought came after I realized why so many can’t believe in Him. Because! You can’t see Him. How do you know He’s there? Is the spirit in question a He or a She? That question right there is important to a ton of people. It’s a stumbling block for those that seek answers to believing in something greater than themselves. It’s caused folks to no longer follow Christ and or to believe there’s no God at all. But trust and believe He’s real! I’ve had the pleasure of meeting Him during one of my darkest days.

My brother had died. He was the only sibling I’d connected with. Perhaps because we lived in the same house, we shared the same parents and we shared some of the same abusive experiences. Well anywho, he’d died. I was questioning God as to why He would take the only family member that loved me. I remember telling Him that I had a whole family that He could have selected from. And, yet, He takes the only one that loves me. I was puzzled by His choice, until now.

As I was praying and sobbing with tears filling my eyes and leaving me with no vision over my brother’s death, I felt a warm and very large spirit enter my home. It connected with my tiny soul. It was so big that after it joined our spirits together I felt it’s presence outside as well as inside the house. As trouble brews over my many decisions concerning my mom’s assets, I was reminded of this particular day. There’s nothing of great concern so big that God can’t help His children navigate through and enter new promise lands. Let’s pray!

PRAYER:

Father, God, it’s a new day filled with opportunities no matter our current circumstances. Remove the scales off our spiritual eyes that causes us to be blind to your many blessings. Showing each individual that reads this prayer the opportunities you have for them. As you give the doer your strength and perfect plan to claim blessings and move into promises lands. Amen

Heavenly Father, the world is in a pandemic crises.  We have a virus that is killing people in days and or weeks by the hundreds.  It’s called COVID-19.  It’s new to the world but not to you.  You know all and see all.  And, you know where this virus was created and what it was created with.  Lord, help until you can help.  Amen
