The Prayer’s of Black Women

September 19

Worrying is carrying tomorrow’s load with today’s strength- carrying two days at once. It is moving into tomorrow ahead of time. Worrying does not empty tomorrow of its sorrow; it empties today of its strength.

During the Sermon on the Mount, Jesus took time to give His followers words of encouragement concerning worry. He told them not to worry about tomorrow for it would take care of itself. He emphasized that each day will have their own problems. And! Boy! He was spot on! As why I love Corrie ten Boom’s quote. She added more wisdom to words that were peppered with inspiration for living a productive life. Let’s pray.

PRAYER: Father God, thank you for your Son, Jesus Christ. My savior and redeemer. I believe had I been the only person that need deliverance He would have died for me only. So, again, thank you for your only begotten Son.

Lord, I speak your peace to hearts and minds that are fearful and worried. Your peace surpasses all peace that humankind create to free souls from worry. Amen

For if you forgive other people when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive others their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins

Matthew 6:14-15

Life isn’t always fair and most days won’t be sunny. Yet, you can learn to appreciate the partial cloudy days, rainy days and violent storms once you learn the art of forgiveness. Forgiveness teaches the soul that despite the gloom that comes with bad days you can move forwards. So, always be quick to forgive and ready to move forwards with giving yourself a peace of mind. Let us pray.

PRAYER:

Father God, thank you for this day we’ve never seen before. It’s precious. Let your love guide our thoughts to making this our best day. Amen

And as you wish that others would do to you, do so to them. Luke 6:31

I’ve started a new blog series titled “Reflections of A Personal Representative.” I’m writing to organize my thoughts. The new series isn’t just about settling my mother’s estate but I need to relearn how to live my own life.

I’ve been so engross with living for my mom that I crippled the way I lived. And in doing such I snuffed out the flames of hope for my future and the future of my children. With that said, let us pray.

PRAYER: Father God, thank you for this day and everyday. It’s with great joy we invite you into our lives. We ask that you order our steps. Let your many blessings remind us of your favor. We pray peace and prosperity for family, friends, loved ones and enemies. Amen

Many, Lord my God, are the wonders you have done, the things you planned for us. None can compare with you; were I to speak and tell of your deeds, they would be too many to declare. Psalm 40:5

Heavenly Father, thank you for this day. Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in thy sight. Let me and all that that live praise you for your wonderful works. Let us shout thanksgiving to declare your deeds of love. Amen

Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name, your kingdom come, your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.  Give us today our daily bread.  Forgive us our debts as we also have forgiven our debtors.  And lead us not into temptation but deliver us from the evil one.  Matthew 6:9 – 13

Heavenly Father thank you for this day we have never seen before.  Father God it’s Wednesday!

Lord today I want to pray for medical doctors everywhere.  Lord, I’m asking that you be with them today and everyday.  They are the heart of society.  I’m asking that you give them wisdom to act upon on their patients needs.  Amen

My Prayer Was Answered: April 7, 2018

swarming locustNo sooner than publishing my post “I Need A Life Sustaining Nugget from God” my phone ranged. It was my middle son. He was returning my call from a few days ago.

Seeing his number on caller ID made my day. As I viewed who was calling I deliberated should I tell him about my painful decision.

He lives hundreds of miles away. He’s happy with his relationship choice. He enjoys his job. He views life as it should be lived. One day at a time. He dislikes drama and avoid making comments when I’m in-raged about his older brother. So I wanted to stay clear of upsetting him.

He could tell something was wrong. I told him what happened. He was disappointed it came to the decision I made. He said something like this: “Well, mom, my brother must live his life. The loaning of this money is a lesson to everyone. If my brother doesn’t get the lesson, the lesson will continue to visit him until he gets it.”

Nugget from God:

It’s a good thing to help others that are in need. If they abuse the resources God sends or sent their way then life lessons will continue until they learn whatever they need to learn.

Prayer:

Lord each time I write or speak of the money that my son’s girlfriend refuses to repay I become upset. Today, Lord, I’m asking for God’s peace on a good deed that went bad. I want to move on. Help me find ways to replace what the locust have eaten. Amen

Heavenly Father thank you for this day we have never seen before.  Father God it’s Thursday!  Most people will wake up and rush into their day without prayer or meditation.  Lord, can you please guide them by focusing their rush souls.  Can you please give them your joy.  Today, Lord, someone among them will be given a life’s dilemma.  Can you please give them your insight by turning on their spiritual lights so they can see how to handle the situation.  Amen
