Day Thirty – Removing Clutter

Today, I came on just to read something inspirational. Ask and it shall be given! I found a very profound blog post, simply written about knowledge being power. It’s thought provoking and moving! So, today I won’t be writing a post but sharing one and encouraging my visitors to read it. Let’s pray!

PRAYER

Father God, your word say’s “we have not because we ask not.” Well today Lord I’m asking that you give people an appetite to seek knowledge to make wiser choices. Amen

Day Sixteen – Removing Clutter

October 4, 2023

For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart.

Every year I enjoy watching the classic movie “Holiday Affair.” It’s about a young boy who secretly wants a train, a single mom’s desire to raise her child, a professional man that wants to get married and a man who’s a store clerk that wants to live his best life on the coast building boats. Well, any-who-how, the most memorable line in the movie was and is “Anything can change a life, even a toy train.” Let’s pray!

PRAYER

Father God, give the individuals that have strong desires to change the will to change. Amen

Day Nine – Removing Clutter

Until now you have asked nothing in my name. Ask, and you will received, that your joy may be full.

John 16:24

Yesterday, I had to remove mental clutter to regain focus on clearing my home of things not needed and or wanted. So! My husband, my son, my baby daddy and I took a trip to one of my favorite stores! Menards! And as usual I got lost in the joy of being there. The field trip reminded me home is where the heart should be and joy should always be abound. Let’s pray!

PRAYER

Father God, give my home and all who live within it your unquestionable joy. Amen

Prayers Of A Black Woman

October 23

Get good at telling your own stories. Some of the world’s best speech makers were storytellers like Mark Twain and Will Rogers. Never get caught giving someone else’s speech. People know immediately, and it’s embarrassing. Talk about the experiences that have impacted your own life–they’ll be more meaningful and interesting to your audience.

David W. Anderson

You know what! I gotta tell a short story here. I have this family member that must tell everybody’s story including her own. It doesn’t matter what the story is about or if it should stay private or go public. All that matters is that she must tell the news, as she adds and subtracts to every story. Her lack of respect for the privacy of others causes her to cross boundaries, creating wounds that have long lasting emotional scars. And! Lord help if the story is about someone she hates and or dislike her. Yet, the funny thing about this person is that I believe every family, every circle of friends, every aspect of life where people come together has at least one toxic busybody. Let’s pray!

PRAYER

Father God, thank you for another day to make a difference. Lord, today we’re praying about the spirit of destruction that has people captive. We’re asking you to bind it in the name of Jesus! Render it useless and replace it with a spirit of restoration allowing victims to find their voices and heal. Amen

The Prayers of Black Women

February 25

I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it very well.

Psalm 139:14

Prayer:

Father God, creator of the Universe, let us praise you for the life we live. Let your works give wings to our dreams and make them reality. Bless us with your favor as we celebrate daily with thanksgiving for being fearfully and wonderfully made. Amen

The Lord your God, who is going before you, will fight for you, as he did for you in Egypt, before your very eyes,

Deuteronomy 1:30 NIV

Sometimes people lose sight of their main goal(s) when they become distracted by fear. Goals are awesome dreams waiting to be born that are sometimes aborted because of conflict supported by self-doubt. Let’s pray.

PRAYER

Father God, we come to you seeking refuge. Refuge for our souls and our aspirations. Give our hearts peace concerning the fate of goals that are seemingly in jeopardy because of enemies. Block their efforts and never let us be afraid of their weapons as we take hold of your promises. Amen
