The Lord your God, who is going before you, will fight for you, as he did for you in Egypt, before your very eyes,
Deuteronomy 1:30 NIV
Sometimes people lose sight of their main goal(s) when they become distracted by fear. Goals are awesome dreams waiting to be born that are sometimes aborted because of conflict supported by self-doubt. Let’s pray.
PRAYER
Father God, we come to you seeking refuge. Refuge for our souls and our aspirations. Give our hearts peace concerning the fate of goals that are seemingly in jeopardy because of enemies. Block their efforts and never let us be afraid of their weapons as we take hold of your promises. Amen
Today is a great day for an excellent day! Honestly! Everyday is a great day for an excellent day! And don’t let anyone tell you differently through words and or actions. Always celebrate life, your life. Your value is more precious than silver or gold and it should never be devalued.
I apologize for the quick prayer yesterday. I was trying to gather information for a friend concerning bed bugs, answer emails and organize workers. My plate was full and running over! But! I’m focused today. And! I’m ready to give God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit high praise! Let’s Pray!
PRAYER:
Lord thank you for asking the Heavenly Father to give us protection from the prince of this world. Your request makes me fall deeper in love with you. It showed and shows you thought about me, little ole’ me, long before I became a twinkle in my parents eyes. You knew the moment I took my first breath I would be a target and the gift of life could be unbearable at times. It’s because of your prayer and your never ending love I find peace in the midst of life’s storms. Thank you for everything. Amen
Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in your sight, O Lord, my rock and my redeemer.
Psalm 19:14 ESV
Sometimes people find their thoughts and words changing when facing difficult moments. It’s during those times words can become mean and nasty. And as a result people find themselves plotting how to protect themselves from evil with evil. Let’s just say that’s not good. I remembered a Gunsmoke episode about an evil town. What led to an old man saying, “evil eats itself up” was the most important message. And! It’s true! Evil always consumes evil. So never allow anyone to goat you into doing something mean and nasty that you’ll regret later. Let’s pray!
PRAYER:
Father God, ‘Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in your sight, O Lord, my rock and my redeemer.’ Lord please become a visible rock during turbulent times and a redeemer when thoughts and words aren’t savory. Amen
Lord, thank you for your grace and your mercy. Father, God, the world is still suffering from COVID-19. And, sadly, most Americans feel they are immune to the virus despite CDC’s warnings and government suggestions.
If we, Americans, don’t join together and set healthier boundaries beyond what officials have suggested it will change the face of America and the world forever. And it grieves me to learn that Black communities are being hit the hardest.
I don’t know why so many Black people won’t follow the rules. Including one of my own children. Or could it be that hospital’s are sending infected black people home, and, as a result, they are infecting others. And! It infuriates me to know my son lied to me to gain shelter. And, I allowed him back into the house after being places only you know of.
Please protect me and Michael from Kaleph’s foolishness. Michael and I are following the rules. We’re staying home. We’re practicing social distance. We’re concern about ourselves as well as others.
Lord, Black people are at the bottom of the list when it comes to receiving quality healthcare and barely on that list as being part of the human race. We deserve services to sustain life and lives. Yet, it always seem we’re last to receive fair treatment despite our stations in a world you created.
Lord, quicken the spirits of my people. Deliver those that suffer from delusional minds. Guide us! We need your help. Reports are showing we’re dying at records numbers. Show us how to protect ourselves, our loved ones, our friends and our family during these perilous times. Let there truly become unity in the black communities. Not because we are better or want more than other races but because we’re dying at record numbers. Amen
So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. Isaiah 41:10
Prayer: Good morning, Lord. Today I pray you will pour out your guidance and wisdom within each medical professional community. Show them how to combat COVID-19. Protect each person as they become your legs, arms and body in an effort to heal your people. Amen
Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name, your kingdom come, your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us today our daily bread. Forgive us our debts as we also have forgiven our debtors. And lead us not into temptation but deliver us from the evil one. Matthew 6:9 – 13
Heavenly Father thank you for this day we have never seen before. And thank you for reminding me to pray today. Lord please protect children that are in foster care. Please give foster care parents spirits needed to raise, love, and teach children that have been entrusted to them. Please give the parents and once caregivers peace in knowing their children are in safe and in loving homes. Please give those parents and once caregivers the spirit to change how they took care of the children taken from them. Once these parents and once caregivers have made the necessary changes and can prove to the courts they can again provide for the children they love, please give them favor throughout the legal system so they can be reunited with the children they love and the children that loves them. Amen
You are still alive, so live. Don’t just exist. Don’t just breathe in and out. Don’t just go through the motions. LIVE! And just because you make that choice to live, it doesn’t mean your not still grieving. There is no “getting over it”. I like to think of it as moving through it. The pain is still there. It still hurts as bad as the first days sometimes. The void in your life is always there. The loss is there whether there are tears in your eyes or a smile on your face. ~Leslie Wachter McDonald
Lord this morning I’m praying for the grieving hearts. Why? Because the saddest acts of unkindness among those that have lost or that are losing a loved one is always heart wrenching. Sadly the sorrowful bring their grieving strife to others to sort. And in the midst of seeking comfort of their loss or losses they are usually exploited. So this morning Lord I lift the grieving hearts to you.
First, Lord, I’m requesting with a sincere and humble heart that you put them under your protection. I’m asking Lord that you will put a salve of comfort over their wounded minds. I’m asking Lord that you will bring compassion in their midst for those that are grieving the same loss. I’m asking Lord that you bring an understanding to each of their acts of judgment. But most of all, Lord, let your presence be known so that finalization of their dead earthly possessions can be carried out with private dignity. Amen
