Day Seven – Believe In Yourself

“I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” Philippians 4:13

Each of us faces our own mountains to climb and conquer! Yes, even the three billionaires who stood alongside Trump encounter difficult moments. Remember, while money can enhance life, it isn’t the solution to all of life’s challenges. With a calm demeanor and a clear mind, anyone can overcome most obstacles and succeed if they believe in themselves and their goals. At least that’s the American mantra! That’s why many people dislike Americans, yet so many aspire to live in America. Our forefathers weren’t always kind or right in establishing the foundation of our nation, but they provided us with a blueprint that can adapt swiftly for our country’s success as well as individual achievements. The truth is, America’s success has always relied on the strength of God. May we always believe in and worship Him, for He has always been our rock.

So!  When you have a mountain in front of you that you must climb to reach a goal, figure out a way to climb it with God on your side!  Let’s pray!

PRAYER

Father God, thank you for this new day! Grant me my daily bread and the wisdom to achieve my present goals, enabling me to live an abundant life in You. Amen

Day Forty One – Removing Clutter

“The only person you are destined to become is the person you decide to be.”

Ralph Waldo Emerson

I’ve become addicted to YouTube. Yes, you’ve read correctly! I’m always surfing the following topics, homesteading, remodeling, how to make vanilla extract, genealogy and quilting. And as you know I should be cleaning and decluttering. I have one year to gather the fragments of my life before my husband, me and possibly my youngest son move to another part of Colorado.

But in the meantime, for some strange reason a channel keeps popping up on my feed as something I might enjoy. So! One day I decided to watch it after a title grabbed my attention. The video was of a husband and wife remodeling their [new to them] doublewide.

As I sat watching them install fake beams I concluded the wife was extremely annoying; therefore, I stayed clear of clicking on their channel. Well! In the wee hours of the morning guess what channel popped up for me to watch again! Yep! The annoying woman!

I gave her another chance! This time she did not disappoint! She was talking about decluttering her children’s bedroom, being an understanding mom, addressing her shortcomings and arriving at a junction where things work for her. But! The one thing she said that struck a chord with me mentally and emotionally was “no one wants to live in clutter.” Let’s pray!

PRAYER

Father God, no one wants to live in clutter. Yet, life happens. Clutter happens. And sometimes people find themselves living in conditions they would never live in otherwise.  Help them to fix the problem that hinders them from becoming the person they are destined to become.  Amen

The Prayer’s of Black Women

October 7

Since this is Throwback Thursday, I’ve decided to repost a prayer from Monday, September 2, 2013. Back then I gave my prayers titles. The title for this prayer was “Staying On Your Path.” Let’s pray!

Artist: Henry Lee Battle

Stay on the path that the Lord you God has commanded you to follow. Then you will live long and prosperous lives in the land you are about to enter and occupy.

Deuteronomy 5:33

Speak to my heart Lord.  Your words have commanded me to follow a path you have divinely paved only for me.  Help me Lord to stay on my path when the storms of life are raging, when I can’t see my way clear from the dust and I must walk alone.  Give me your strength to journey on by giving me faith to believe in you; and hope by knowing I will live long and have a prosperous life in the land I will enter and occupy. Amen
