Tough Bosses vs God’s Strength

But the one who does not know and does things deserving punishment will be beaten with few blows. From everyone who has been given much, much will be demanded; and from the one who has been entrusted with much, much more will be asked. Luke 12:48

Hello from the breathtaking Colorado Rocky Mountains! It might sound surprising, but I have a habit of praying around the clock! Still, I sometimes find expressing my thoughts in public prayers challenging.

What do I pray for throughout my day?  I lift my children, their fathers, my husband, my in-laws, family, friends, the world’s problems, and even those who may not have always been kind before God. I ask for His protection over my kids and wisdom to fill their hearts. My prayers truly reflect my personal journey and the lessons I’ve learned.

Last week, I shared about a young woman facing challenges at work. She feels overwhelmed as if she’s the only one dealing with a tough boss. This situation weighs her down, making it hard for her to find peace and hear God amid the chaos. My heart goes out to her for many reasons. Let’s join in prayer together about tough bosses!

PRAYER

Father God, I am grateful for Your endless love surrounding me and Your wonderful creations. With a thankful heart, I pray for those experiencing feelings of defeat under the pressures of a boss.  I submit their struggles before Your Throne of Grace, placing my trust in Your ability to transform their challenges. I also kindly ask that You surround them with Your peace and grant them the strength to overcome any obstacles they encounter. May the Holy Spirit guide them during times of uncertainty, helping them find strength through prayer in their most arduous moments and making them victorious. Amen.

The Prayer’s of Black Women

March 16

He who walks with wise men will be wise, But the companion of fools will suffer harm.

Provers 13:20

When my children were young I would tell them why people were good and or bad for them before I removed the toxic person from their life. I had no clue I was teaching and laying the foundation for them in becoming wise when it came to choosing their companions. I only knew it was the right thing to do, especially since I loved them and wanted the best for them.

Strengthening my beliefs when teaching my kids about healthy relationships was an episode on Focus On The Family. A young mother such as myself prayed for her children’s future spouses. From her thoughts it appears she nor I knew what we were truly asking God. Our prayers were lightyears in front of our requests. Hindsight is twenty twenty: In order for our children to pick excellent mates for themselves they had to become wise to relationships.

PRAYER

Lord always protect me and my descendants from harm with your wise counselors.  Amen
