Illustrated balance scale with justice symbols, plants, fish, and maritime objects

Hey y’all! It is early, the house is quiet, and I am cruising right along through this massive ballot. This will be my final blog post for today, but I wanted to make sure I got it out to you. I’m trying to keep a personal promise I made to do my deep research and share my honest thoughts on exactly what we’re facing this election.

Next up on my desk is Amendment 83, which deals with the right to hunt and fish. For me, this one is a smooth NO.

Look, I am not a hunter, and I don’t fish. I have not heard of any major problems or threats to these activities in our state. I always take the stance that if something isn’t broken, you don’t try to fix it!

We don’t need to clog up our state constitution with unnecessary additions for things people are already freely allowed to do every single day.

Keep it simple, trust what’s already working, and do your homework! I’ll be back tomorrow to share my thoughts and continue breaking down this ballot with you.

Welcome. I’m so glad you’re here.

This is a space for the ‘unspoken’ stories. As a Black woman who has journeyed through childhood trauma and family alienation to find healing in God’s grace, I know what it’s like to feel lost in the shadows.

But I also know the light on the other side. Today, my life is a testimony of prayer, the joy of a second chance in marriage, and the strength of a heart reclaimed by faith. Whether you are healing from the past, navigating a diverse family, or deepening your walk with God—you are not alone. Let’s walk this path together.
