Hello from Colorado, where the peaks are tall, and my perspective is sharpening by the hour! Today is Tuesday, June 9, 2026, and my faith is securely anchored in Christ Jesus! I am so glad you’ve returned to the blog as we dig deeper into the psychology behind the Hebrew Israelite movement.
Yesterday, we talked about how this ideology uses a false narrative to explain historical pain. Today, I want to address the next logical step that happens when a human brain uses a myth to cope with trauma: the creation of an exclusive club.
When you have felt powerless, overlooked, or marginalized by worldly systems, there is a very deep, very carnal temptation to want to flip the script. The Hebrew Israelite doctrine does exactly that. It doesn’t just say, “You matter to God.” It says, “You are the only ones who matter to God, and everyone else is an interloper.”
It creates a spiritual hierarchy. It takes the pain of being at the bottom of a racial caste system and attempts to heal it by putting oneself at the very top of a spiritual caste system.
But as a woman of faith, I have to look at the fruit of that mindset. It breeds an intense spirit of elitism, pride, and division. It forces people to walk around with their noses in the air, looking down on others just to feel secure in their own skin. That is not the spirit of Christ. Jesus didn’t come to replace one oppressive hierarchy with another; He came to tear the whole system down.
The Takeaway for Us
- The Trap of Elitism: One recognizes that inventing an exclusive spiritual status is often just a defense mechanism to mask deep-seated feelings of powerlessness.
- The Equality of the Cross: One sees that the Gospel completely flattens all human hierarchies. In God’s kingdom, identity is not a ladder where one race rules over another.
- Pride vs. Peace: A believer learns that true security doesn’t require you to look down on anyone else. If your peace depends on someone else being “less than” you, it isn’t the peace of God.
Community Challenge
Have you ever caught yourself trying to feel important by making someone else feel unimportant? This week, I challenge you to examine where you get your sense of value. Are you resting in the fact that you are loved by God, or are you secretly looking for a spiritual pedigree that makes you feel superior to the people around you?
Scripture & Prayer
- Scripture: “There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.” — Galatians 3:28 (KJV)
- Prayer: Father, check our hearts for any lingering seeds of pride or spiritual elitism. Root out the desire to feel superior to others as a way to heal our own insecurities. Remind us daily that the ground is completely level at the foot of the Cross, and help us to love our neighbors from a place of true humility. Amen.
The Spiritual Seal
Remember: You don’t need to build a spiritual pedestal to get closer to God. He doesn’t look down on the world from a racial throne; He walked among us on dusty roads to bring us all together.
See you tomorrow (Wednesday)!
