The Universal Cross: Why Grace Doesn’t Need a DNA Test

Hello from Colorado, where the peaks are tall and my perspective is finally resting on the horizon of Eternity! Today is Friday, June 5, 2026, and my faith is securely anchored in Christ Jesus! I want to thank you for walking with me through this heavy, revealing week as we’ve looked at the “lie” and the “Truth.”

As we close out this first week, I keep coming back to one simple, beautiful fact: When Christ died, He died for all. He didn’t just die for a specific tribe, a specific “chosen” race, or a specific group of people with the “right” genealogy. He gave everyone the opportunity for eternal life.

It’s asinine to think that God would send His only Son to die, only to then tell us, “But wait, check your DNA first to see if you’re really in the club.” That’s not the God I serve. When I was approached by those individuals insisting we are the “real” Israelites, all I could think of was how small they were making God’s love. They are so focused on being “biologically royal” that they are missing the fact that they are already spiritually redeemed.

We don’t need to steal anyone else’s history to be worthy. We are worthy because He said so on the Cross. Period.

The Takeaway for Us

  1. The Finished Work: One realizes that adding “racial requirements” to salvation is a denial of Christ’s finished work. If being a “Hebrew” is necessary for your identity in God, then you are saying the Cross wasn’t enough.
  2. The Open Invitation: One sees that the “Chosen” status in the New Testament is about election through faith, not selection through birth. The opportunity for eternal life is a door that Christ swung wide open for the whole world.
  3. The Freedom of No Pedigree: A believer learns that there is an incredible freedom in not needing a “receipt” for your ancestors. When your identity is in Christ, you are a citizen of Heaven, and that citizenship can never be revoked by a lack of historical proof.

Community Challenge

This weekend, I challenge you to look at your reflection and say, “I am enough because Christ is enough.” Stop searching for a “royal” bloodline in the past and start living in the Royal Priesthood you were called to today. How does your “peace” change when you stop trying to prove who you were and start resting in Who He is?

Scripture & Prayer

  • Scripture: “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” — John 3:16 (KJV)
  • Prayer: Father, we thank You for the “Whosoever.” We thank You that Your love isn’t restricted by borders, bloodlines, or biology. We pray for our brothers and sisters who are searching for their worth in ancient tribes; may they instead find their value in the wounds of Your Son. Keep us steady in the truth that Your grace is for everyone who calls on Your name. Amen.

The Spiritual Seal

Remember: The Cross wasn’t a private event for a “chosen” few; it was a public rescue for the entire world. You don’t need a tribe when you have the Trinity. Your seat at the table was paid for in full. See you Monday!

I’m Annette

Welcome. I’m so glad you’re here.

This is a space for the ‘unspoken’ stories. As a Black woman who has journeyed through childhood trauma and family alienation to find healing in God’s grace, I know what it’s like to feel lost in the shadows.

But I also know the light on the other side. Today, my life is a testimony of prayer, the joy of a second chance in marriage, and the strength of a heart reclaimed by faith. Whether you are healing from the past, navigating a diverse family, or deepening your walk with God—you are not alone. Let’s walk this path together.
